His professional journey includes key leadership roles at renowned hospitality brands such as Holiday Inn Jaipur City Centre, Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel, ibis Styles Goa, Goa Marriott Resort & Spa, JW Marriott Bengaluru, and The Leela Palace Bengaluru. Across these roles, he has consistently demonstrated excellence in managing multi-outlet operations, large-scale banquets, and strategic business planning.

Prior to joining JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, Ayush was associated with Coorg Marriott Resort & Spa, where he led key training initiatives to enhance service culture and team performance. He has also held roles across reputed hospitality brands including The Tamara Coorg, Woods at Sasan, and Evolve Back Resorts, where he played an integral role in learning and development and leadership training.

In this role  Chef Somasundaram is responsible for overseeing culinary operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, quality, and innovation. With 20 plus years of experience and overall culinary in charge, Chef will ensure exceptional food standards, consistency, and memorable dining experiences across all outlets. Beyond the kitchen, Chef is deeply committed to team building and talent development, fostering a motivated, skilled, and collaborative culinary team by mentoring chefs and encouraging creativity. Chef Somasundaram reports to the General Manager.  

Most recently prior to this Chef Somasundaram served as Executive Chef at Sheraton Grand Chennai where he was responsible for overseeing all culinary operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction,  quality, and innovation. As the overall culinary in-charge, Chef ensured exceptional food standards and  memorable dining experiences across all outlets. Chef also encouraged participation in culinary  competitions at the hotel. 

Prior to this, Chef Somasundaram served for 20 years at multiple properties of Marriott International and has served as the Head Chef at Maxwell Reserve Autograph Collection, Singapore, at Shikar, the Indian speciality restaurant. 

Chef Somasundaram graduated from the Madras Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai, and holds a certification in the Food Production Craft Course.

Before joining Welcomhotel By ITC Hotels, Dwarka, New Delhi,  Shivam Singh gained extensive experience in hospitality marketing and communications across some of the industry’s leading brands. As part of the core pre-opening team for Radisson MG Road, New Delhi, he led strategic marketing initiatives that supported the hotel’s successful launch and positioning. During his association with Marriott, he delivered the highest digital room night mix for Q3 across the APEC region, reflecting his strong command over result-oriented marketing strategies.

Shivam also made a significant contribution to the launch of ZAFFRAN at Renaissance Lucknow, where he drove pre-opening buzz through targeted campaigns, an exclusive HNI meet, and widespread media visibility. His earlier role as Assistant Manager at Holiday Inn further added to his well-rounded experience in brand building, public relations, and guest-centric hospitality marketing.
