JW Marriott Chandigarh has announced the appointment of Vishal Mehra as the General Manager
Bringing with him over 30 years of distinguished hospitality experience across the Middle East, Central Asia, and India, Vishal is celebrated for his strategic leadership, operational excellence, and strong people-first philosophy.
A highly respected industry leader, Vishal is also a proud recipient of the Gallup Global Manager of the Year Award – Great Workplace Award, a recognition that reflects his commitment to brand-led leadership, team empowerment, and cultivating high-performance cultures.
Throughout his expansive career, Vishal has played a pivotal role in shaping hotels into market-leading luxury destinations through innovation, foresight, and an unwavering focus on authentic guest experiences. His leadership journey spans some of the world’s most iconic properties, including Burj Al Arab, Grand Hyatt Dubai, Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, and Park Hyatt hotels in Chennai and the Maldives. He has successfully opened six hotels and converted two properties, contributing extensively to Marriott and other leading hospitality brands across multiple countries.
Prior to joining JW Marriott Chandigarh, Vishal served as General Manager for the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel and Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu, where he repositioned both properties as regional benchmarks in service excellence and brand performance. He has also supported strategic transitions for Marriott hotels in Indore, Hyderabad, and Rishikesh, strengthening operational alignment and guest experience standards.
