Marriott International has announced the elevation of Joydeep Das to the position of Multi-Property Director of Sales & Marketing for The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat and Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata
In his new role, Joydeep will lead the commercial strategy for both properties, with a focus on driving sustainable revenue growth across rooms, banqueting, and food & beverage, while strengthening market share and enhancing brand positioning in Kolkata.
Joydeep brings extensive experience in hospitality sales and marketing, supported by strong commercial acumen and strategic leadership. Prior to this promotion, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Marriott International, where he consistently exceeded revenue targets, expanded market share, and led integrated marketing initiatives across digital platforms and global distribution systems. He also spearheaded total account management across corporate, MICE, and wholesale segments, while building and mentoring high-performing teams in collaboration with market revenue and area leadership.
Before joining Marriott International, Joydeep was Director of Sales at Taj Fisherman’s Cove, Chennai, where he played a key role in achieving record revenue milestones and strengthening the resort’s positioning as a leading luxury & wedding destination along the ECR corridor.
Earlier in his career, Joydeep Das was associated with ITC Hotels, where he led pre-opening sales and marketing efforts for Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Bhubaneswar, and part of the pre-opening of ITC Royal Bengal and progressed through senior sales leadership roles. These roles provided him with a strong foundation in market development, brand strategy, and revenue optimisation.
Joydeep’s professional journey reflects a steady progression from property-level leadership to multi-property commercial oversight, underscoring his commitment to excellence and consistent performance in competitive markets. With a strong focus on brand integrity and innovation, he aims to drive long-term growth while positioning both hotels as preferred destinations in Kolkata.
