TIYA, a Michelin Guide-recognised restaurant, has announced the appointment of Chef Bobby as its new Sous Chef, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and refined modern Indian cuisine in the heart of San Francisco

As Sous Chef at TIYA, Chef Bobby will lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution, elevated plating aesthetics, balanced flavour profiles, and consistent portion standards. His leadership will further strengthen TIYA’s reputation as a premium modern Indian dining destination known for creativity, precision, and exceptional guest experiences.
Prior to joining TIYA, Chef Bobby served as Sous Chef at Madras Group Inc., 1177 W El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, where he assisted the Executive Chef in managing high-performance kitchen operations. He supervised and trained culinary teams, upheld HACCP and ServSafe food safety standards, managed inventory and supplier coordination, and played a key role in cost control and menu innovation. His expertise in recipe development and tasting menu execution contributed to maintaining elevated dining standards.
Earlier in his culinary journey, Chef Bobby worked as a Demi Chef de Partie at The Quorum, Two Horizon Center, Golf Course Road, and as a Commi at Hotel Crowne Plaza Mayur Vihar. He began his career at Aamod Resorts, Kandaghat, District Solan, Himachal Pradesh, where he developed strong foundational skills in professional kitchen operations and hospitality discipline.
