What’s the wedding buzz for 2026?
“2026 is the year of intentional luxury. Couples are moving away from performative grandeur and leaning into emotionally intelligent celebrations. It is no longer about scale, it is about meaning. We are seeing intimate guest lists, immersive storytelling, and deeply researched cross-cultural ceremonies that feel thoughtful and respectful.
One of our most defining weddings last year, Tanisha and Noah’s Hindu–Jewish celebration in Mumbai, reflected this shift perfectly. Two cultures, two continents, and two families came together not only symbolically, but seamlessly. The biggest trend, for me, is this: weddings are beginning to feel like memoirs, not productions.”
Aesthetics with heartbeat
“The defining aesthetic of 2026 is what I call soft power luxury. It is understated yet layered, elevated yet deeply personal. For Tanisha and Noah, every event carried its own emotional temperature, and that became the design language. The mehendi felt like a blooming summer garden, with woven baskets, mango carts, and an easy, flowing energy. The Hindu ceremony moved into soft pink serenity, shaped by morning light and live flute music. The sangeet shifted the room completely, becoming a high-energy stage experience with drama and movement.
The Jewish ceremony brought baby blues, candlelight, and sacred stillness beneath the chuppah, and the reception ended as an intimate, candlelit after-party with a live band. At Niche Events, we do not design around trends. We design around memory, personality, and cultural nuance. The aesthetic must feel like an extension of the couple’s emotional language.”

“In 2026, food is experiential storytelling. For this celebration, the menus blended Indian warmth with New York sophistication, and the goal was never to overwhelm guests with endless spreads. We curated meaningful culinary moments instead. Signature bride-and-groom cocktails gave the bar personality and helped guests connect with the couple’s story. A nostalgic mango cart at the mehendi brought warmth and playfulness, while wine was thoughtfully woven into Jewish rituals in a way that felt natural and respectful.
We also used interactive food elements that encouraged movement and mingling rather than static dining. Guests remember flavours long after they forget floral installations, so culinary design has become as intentional as décor.”

“Tanisha and Noah’s wedding remains one of the most emotionally layered celebrations we have orchestrated. Across three days, from 3rd to 5th June 2025, we transitioned one primary venue through completely distinct emotional worlds.
What made it unforgettable was not only the décor transformation but the emotional transformation. Each event felt different in mood and rhythm, yet everything stayed connected in spirit. That continuity mattered more than spectacle. It was a wedding that reminded us how design, hospitality, and emotion must move together.

“Bridal fashion is no longer about statement pieces alone. It is about storytelling. What truly stood out in this celebration was the bride’s heirloom jewellery, her late grandmother’s set reimagined with pearls.
It held heritage, memory, and modernity in one gesture. In 2026, brides are embracing lineage, sustainability, and emotional authenticity over excess. The most powerful looks are not always the most dramatic. They are the ones that feel honest to the person wearing them.
