JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Shiva Kalra as Associate Director of Food & Beverage, effective February 2026

With over 13 years of comprehensive F&B experience spanning luxury hospitality brands in India, the Maldives, and the Gulf, Shiva brings a distinctive blend of operational mastery, financial acumen, and guest-centric leadership to this senior role.
Shiva’s career has been shaped by a commitment to excellence that has consistently translated into measurable results. Beginning his hospitality journey at The Oberoi Rajvilas and Fairmont Dubai, he built foundational expertise in service standards before rising through progressively senior roles at Fairmont Jaipur, Conrad Bengaluru, Intercontinental Chennai Mahabalipuram, and Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa in Goa.
At Taj Holiday Village, Shiva led the all-day dining outlet, Caravela, to become one of IHCL’s top 20 revenue-generating outlets in the financial year 2020-21. His ability to connect guest engagement with financial performance has been a hallmark of his career, earning him the Platinum Club recognition twice for guest feedback on TripAdvisor and Trustyou.
Shiva’s formative experience at JW Marriott Mussoorie — where he served as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager from March 2023 to June 2024 — established a strong foundation for this elevated appointment. During that tenure, he maintained Guest Voice Scores above 90%, and the property achieved Rank 1 in Guest Voice among all JW Marriott hotels in the APEC region in 2023 under his watch. Most recently, Shiva served as Assistant F&B Manager at Oblu Select Sangeli in the Maldives, where he achieved a 91% score in the Guest Mystery Audit and consistently maintained above 89% in all food safety and hygiene audits across 2024 and 2025.
Shiva Kalra holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Annamalai University and a B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from IHM Jodhpur. He is a WSET Level 1 & 2 (Wines) holder with distinction, a ServSafe Level 3 Food Safety Manager, a trained Intermediate Cigar Sommelier, and a certified departmental trainer — a breadth of qualifications that reflects his investment in continuous professional development.
In his new role, Shiva will oversee the resort’s full F&B portfolio, including signature restaurants, bar operations, in-room dining, and specialty destination dining experiences, driving revenue growth and continuing to elevate the guest experience in a manner befitting JW Marriott’s global luxury standards.
