JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort and Spa has announced the appointment of Vivek Gomes Pereira as its new General Manager
As Marriott International’s landmark 10,000th property globally, the resort represents a defining moment in the brand’s history, and Vivek’s team has been central to shaping it, having led the property through its pre-opening phase and guiding it through a milestone launch.
A graduate of the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development (OCLD), Vivek brings over two decades of experience in luxury hospitality, drawing from a career that spans two of India’s most respected hospitality groups. He has spent more than a decade with The Oberoi Group across Mumbai and Bengaluru, progressing through successive leadership roles in food and beverage operations. He joined Marriott International in 2024 as Hotel Manager at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, one of the first luxury hotels to open in Delhi’s Aerocity district.
Speaking on his appointment, Vivek said, “JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa was built around a single conviction that Ranthambore deserves to be experienced far beyond the safari. With 127 keys across luxury tented suites, private family villas and our Presidential Suite, four distinct dining destinations, Spa by JW, and a calendar of immersive cultural and wellness experiences, we have created a resort that gives guests every reason to stay longer, explore deeper and return. I could not be more honoured to be entrusted with building on this vision and creating meaningful experiences for our guests alongside my team.”
Throughout his career, Vivek has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams and delivering strong commercial results across complex luxury environments. He leads by observation and mentorship, creating an environment where associates feel trusted, invested in and empowered to make decisions. This philosophy will also underpin his work to establish JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort and Spa as one of India’s foremost luxury wildlife destinations.
