Radisson Hotel Group has joined hands with The Job Plus and the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) under R.A.H.I. (Radisson Advancing Hope & Inclusion), with an ambition to skill 3,000 young people over the next seven years

Building on the partners’ longstanding collaboration, the initiative aims to create accessible pathways into formal hospitality employment for young people from underserved communities, connecting industry-led training with the skills and practical understanding needed to build sustainable careers.
The initiative has a pan-India reach, with participants currently coming from over 14 states and regions, including the Northeastern states, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana, among others. It focuses on young people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, particularly those from economically disadvantaged families and first-generation entrants to the formal workforce. Selection is based on educational qualifications, socio-economic circumstances and an individual’s aspirations to enter the workforce, with the aim of widening access to structured training and formal employment.
Through a 45-day training programme, participants are prepared to work as Guest Service Associates across Housekeeping, Food and Beverage (F&B), and Front Office. The programme combines classroom learning, practical training, industry immersion, NSQF Level 4 assessments and certification through THSC, along with placement preparation and opportunities to appear for multiple job interviews. Beyond hotels and restaurants, the training opens pathways to careers in corporate hospitality, managed workspaces and facility management.
Radisson Hotel Group is also working with its partners to align the curriculum with industry feedback and evolving business requirements, while introducing greater opportunities for industry immersion and a dedicated Radisson Connect component to familiarise participants with hotel operations, service standards and potential career pathways.
Connecting this training with employment is central to the initiative. Participants receive placement support to help them transition into formal jobs, and around 80% of beneficiaries have been placed in formal employment to date. Building on these outcomes, the aim is to extend the initiative’s reach over the next seven years, strengthening access to hospitality careers for young people while helping develop a skilled and inclusive workforce for the sector.

“Hospitality is a people-driven industry, and investing in talent is essential to its long-term growth. Through R.A.H.I., we are working to create opportunities for young people to develop the skills and confidence needed to build meaningful careers in hospitality. Our partnership with The Job Plus and THSC brings together complementary expertise to support this ambition. By aiming to skill 3,000 young people over the next seven years, we hope to expand access to career opportunities and contribute to a stronger, more inclusive hospitality workforce,” said Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group.

“We are delighted to advance our partnership with Radisson in transforming India’s skilling success story. At The Job Plus, we are addressing a fundamental gap in how the industry accesses talent by going beyond traditional hospitality schools to identify, train and connect young people from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, small towns, villages and underserved communities with formal employment opportunities. Radisson’s commitment has helped demonstrate the potential of this industry-led approach. Together with Radisson and THSC, we aim to take this model to scale, building a stronger, more inclusive talent pipeline while opening pathways to sustainable livelihoods for young people,” said Natwar Nagar, Founder, The Job Plus

“Meaningful partnerships are built on a shared vision and a commitment to lasting impact. Our association with Radisson Hotel Group goes beyond skilling; it is about creating opportunities, nurturing talent and enabling young people to build successful careers in hospitality. We look forward to deepening this collaboration and contributing to the long-term growth of India’s hospitality workforce,” said Rajan Bahadur, Chief Executive Officer, Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council.
The collaboration brings together Radisson Hotel Group’s hospitality expertise and understanding of workforce needs, The Job Plus’s capabilities in workforce development and employment, and THSC’s experience in industry-aligned training, assessment and certification. Through this partnership, the organisations aim to strengthen pathways from skilling to employment and help prepare young people for opportunities across the hospitality sector.
