Capt. Raj K. Malik has recently taken over the charge of Executive Director (Regional Connectivity Scheme — UDAN) at Airports Authority of India (AAI). AAI is the implementing agency for RCS — UDAN under the aegis of Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Malik’s key responsibilities will include effective and smooth implementation of the Government of India`s Flagship Scheme –UDAN, which aims to provide air connectivity to currently under-served and unserved airports across the country, promoting balanced regional growth and making flying affordable for the masses.
Prior to his appointment as ED (RCS-UDAN), he has served as the General Manager (Security) at Corporate Headquarters (CHQ), HOD, Security at the IGI Airport, Indian Aviation Academy (IAA). With a rich experience of 30 years in the aviation sector, Capt. Malik also held the post of Airport Director, Srinagar International Airport in the past.
