In a defining moment for conscious luxury in India, Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur announces a long-term cultural partnership with Jaipur Rugs Foundation, dedicated to elevating the voices, identities and stories of Rajasthan’s women weavers

Rooted in Anantara’s global philosophy of connecting guests with authentic places, people and traditions, the collaboration marks a significant step toward integrating heritage preservation, community upliftment and immersive guest experiences within the luxury hospitality space.

The partnership commenced with a meaningful International Women’s Day initiative centred around two transformative themes – “Pehchaan – Her Identity” and “Aayna – Her Reflection.”
Under Pehchaan, women artisans from the villages of Aaspura and Dhanota participated in a week-long signature workshop designed to help them reclaim their identity through literacy and self-expression. The programme guided participants from using thumbprints to confidently writing and digitally signing their own names — a powerful step towards personal empowerment.

The journey culminated at Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur with Aayna, a moving moment of reflection where artisans stood before an ornate mirror and shared what they saw in the woman looking back at them. What began as shy smiles soon turned into expressions of pride, confidence and resilience.

Hotel guests had the opportunity to witness this emotional moment firsthand and participated by offering flowers to each artisan following her reflection, transforming the experience into a shared celebration of dignity and self-recognition.
Through this long-term collaboration, Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur will introduce a series of immersive cultural experiences designed to connect travellers with Rajasthan’s living heritage. These include artisan workshops hosted in local weaving villages, storytelling evenings with master weavers and female artists, cultural immersion programmes, and curated exhibitions within the hotel that celebrate traditional craftsmanship.

“True luxury today is about connection and conscience,” said Vimal Verma, General Manager of Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur. “Our association with Jaipur Rugs Foundation goes beyond collaboration. It is a commitment to stand beside Rajasthan’s women weavers, celebrate their identity and create meaningful experiences where our guests can engage directly with the stories and traditions that shape this region.”

“This partnership is a deeply proud moment for all of us,” said Nand Kishore Choudhary, Founder of Jaipur Rugs. “It creates a meaningful platform for our artisans to gain the exposure they truly deserve and to showcase not just their creativity, but the powerful stories of transformation behind their work. At its heart, this collaboration reflects a shared commitment between Jaipur Rugs Foundation and Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur to preserve and celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage while creating sustainable livelihoods.”
As travellers increasingly seek purposeful and culturally enriching experiences, this initiative positions Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur at the forefront of responsible luxury in India. What began as a Women’s Day initiative marks the start of a long-term movement dedicated to celebrating identity, dignity and the women who weave the cultural fabric of Rajasthan.
