Chef Kedar Bobde appointed new Executive Chef at Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty

Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty has announced the appointment of Chef Kedar Bobde as the new Executive Chef.

Kedar graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management Applied Nutrition and Catering Technology, Ahmedabad in 1994; and joined The Leela Kempinski, Mumbai as a Kitchen Executive Trainee and grew to Junior CDP in the next five years.

In December 1999 he moved to Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai as a Chef de Partie. A year later, he joined the Le Royal Meridian, Mumbai as a Jr. Sous Chef and over three years, he graduated as Chef Manager. Kedar briefly worked with The Oberoi, Mumbai in 2003 as a Sous Chef.

He moved laterally to the Intercontinental The Grand, Mumbai in June 2003 and became an Executive Chef at the Mumbai and Intercontinental the Grand, Goa properties.

Since 2006 Kedar has held the role of Executive Chef at Radisson White Sand Resort, Goa (January 2006 – May 2007); Intercontinental The Grand, Goa (May 2007 – November 2008); Crowne Plaza, Ahmedabad (August 2012 – May 2013); Hyatt Regency Mumbai (May 2013 – May 2016 and November 2019 – October 2021); and The Chedi Mumbai {GHM hotels} (May 2016 – July 2017).

He has also held the positions of Executive Sous Chef at Grand Hyatt Mumbai (December 2008 – August 2012) and Corporate Executive Chef with deGustibus Hospitality (July 2017 – November 2019).

Kedar has been the Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Chandigarh since October 2021, a position he held until joining here.
