Indian wedding mood boards are increasingly seeing more and more couples going back to their roots and taking inspiration from their rich Indian heritage like never before. This trend celebrates the craftsmanship of local artisans, incorporating hand-painted designs, intricate carvings, block prints, and delicate embroidery with stunning patterns. These mood boards will also feature earthy tones, natural textures such as linen, wood, and clay, and minimalist designs that evoke a sense of grounded elegance.

Gen Z is reshaping the wedding landscape with their creative use of technology and unique personal touches. From integrating tech in innovative ways, like live-streaming their ceremonies, to using SFX in decor, and inviting wedding content creators to capture every moment. These couples are defining their own set of rules, shifting the focus from perfection to authenticity.

A major trend among Gen Z couples is the rise of documentary-style wedding photography and the first look where candid, unposed, and spontaneous moments take center stage. Instead of relying on perfectly curated, posed shots, couples are embracing the beauty of behind-the-scenes moments that tell a genuine, unscripted story of their day.

Gen Z isn’t turning to Pinterest for cookie-cutter wedding themes anymore. The big question for them isn’t “what’s trendy?” but rather, “what does this celebration say about us?” One of our couples who are childhood sweethearts chose to host their wedding at the school they attended together. The day was filled with nostalgic touches, including a sports day, tea time with Parle-G biscuits, and a photoshoot in front of their old school.

Another trend gaining momentum is the concept of the “branded wedding.” From the save-the-date to the wedding website, invitations, and even thank-you notes, everything carries a cohesive, personalized theme. Custom crests, monograms, and carefully curated color palettes create a unique, hyper-personalized experience that reflects the couple’s identity and exclusivity. It’s all about making a statement and crafting a celebration that feels uniquely theirs

Grazing boards have become all the rage in recent times, and for good reasons too. Visually stunning, customizable selection of flavors and texture allowing for endless customization to suit every palate and easy to eat making them a great option for cocktail hour or as a starter. Similarly, nostalgic comfort foods like Parle-G biscuits savored during tea time or piping-hot Maggi noodles enjoyed in the wee hours of morning at the after party food has evolved beyond just taste. Today, they’re about more than just the flavors; they evoke a sense of experience, creating memories that transcend the mere act of eating.

International destinations such as Morocco, Dubai, and Italy have emerged as popular choice, offering a blend of luxury and charm. Within India, Rajasthan, particularly Udaipur, continues to be an iconic favorite, alongside Goa and Kerala, known for their coastal beauty and laid-back vibe. In recent years, Rishikesh has gained significant popularity, attracting couples who seek a spiritual vibe, riverside venues, and natural beauty.

Mussoorie, known as the “Queen of the Hills,” has also become an emerging wedding hotspot, thanks to its stunning views of the Himalayas, colonial charm, and pleasant weather, especially during the summer months. Down South Coorg, with its lush coffee plantations, misty hills, and picturesque valleys, offers couples a unique and scenic setting for their wedding. These emerging wedding destinations are offering something truly unique and memorable, blending traditional settings with modern luxury to create unforgettable experiences for couples and their guests.

More and more brides are opting for intimate, personal settings to celebrate their Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies, preferring the warmth and emotional connection of hosting these pre-wedding rituals at home. Moving away from the traditional banquet halls, couples are embracing a variety of unique and meaningful venues for their weddings.

From saying their vows amidst the serene beauty of vineyards, to exchanging promises on pristine beach shores, to tying the knot in the majestic deserts of Rajasthan, the possibilities have expanded beyond conventional settings. Temples are becoming a cherished choice, offering a blend of spiritual significance and tranquility. Additionally, couples are increasingly drawn to grandiose yet intimate venues like royal palaces, historic forts, and enchanting manor houses that evoke the charm of Downton Abbey.

From flamboyant floral arrangements, and grand celebrations that bring a festive spirit to every moment some couples love a celebration filled with drama, flair, and a palpable sense of joy, often accompanied by upbeat music, larger-than-life setups, and an overall sense of spectacle. Others prefer sophisticated yet simple, with a focus on clean lines, soft lighting, and refined floral arrangements.

These weddings have a serene, almost ethereal quality, where every detail is meticulously curated for an understated yet chic affair. In essence, the modern Indian couple is no longer bound by a single definition of what a wedding should look like. The choice between a vibrant, fun-filled celebration or a more subdued, refined affair speaks to the diverse personalities of today’s couples, with each choosing to celebrate their love in a way that resonates with their own identity. The beauty lies in the fact that both styles are celebrated and appreciated, showcasing how weddings in India today can be a reflection of individual tastes, cultural richness, and the freedom to create something truly personal.

Wedding jewellery

While coordinating outfits has long been a staple in wedding fashion, coordinating jewelry has recently emerged as a beautiful new trend. Couples are increasingly choosing pieces that harmonise with one another in meaningful ways. For example, one of our couples chose matching bracelets instead of a mangal sutra creating a timeless connection. Alternatively, the bride may wear a treasured family heirloom, such as a vintage brooch, while the groom complements it with custom-designed cufflinks inspired by the same piece.

An enchanting 18th-century trend is making a grand comeback: the Toi et Moi ring, which translates to “You and Me” in French. Once favored by iconic figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte, this romantic style of engagement ring has once again captured the hearts of modern-day celebrities. Bollywood star Aditi Rao Hydari, for example, recently chose a Toi et Moi ring, replacing the traditional solitaire diamond with this unique and deeply meaningful design.

The Toi et Moi ring typically features two stones—whether diamonds or complementary gemstones—set side by side, symbolizing the harmonious union of two souls. These stones, often in contrasting colors or types, represent the balance, connection, and shared journey of the couple, making it a perfect reflection of love and partnership.

Bride and Groom wear in 2025

In recent years, Indian brides have evolved into two distinct archetypes, each embracing a unique sense of style that reflects their personality and vision for their wedding day. On one side, you have the brides who embody the vibrant, bold, and playful energy of figures like Radhika Merchant. These brides love the celebration of colors, textures, and patterns—each element of their wedding day attire is a riot of hues, exuding an infectious, high-energy vibe. Think intricate, heavily embellished lehengas and stunning over the top jewelry and dramatic make up.

On the other hand, there’s a growing number of brides who lean towards a more understated and refined aesthetic, much like Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani. Their style is characterized by simplicity and elegance, with an emphasis on timeless beauty rather than overt extravagance. These brides prefer delicate, soft tones—ivory, pastels, and blush pinks—rather than bold, saturated colors. Their lehengas, sarees, and other bridal attire often feature minimalist designs, with subtle embroidery or delicate beadwork, focusing on elegance rather than opulence

Gone are the days when the Indian bride walked demurely towards the mandap, blush on her cheeks, escorted by her brother, family or friends. The 21st-century bride is a vibrant force—she not only smiles and winks but also dances to the latest chartbusters as she makes her way under the phoolon ki chaadar. Each day, social media is filled with fresh, creative videos showcasing brides making unforgettable entrances, each more stunning and unique than the last.

Like some of our brides whether its bringing your dance troupe together or coordinating an unforgettable performance with your bridesmaids or making a grand entrance in a palanquin, today’s brides are rewriting the rulebook on bridal entrances. It’s no longer just a walk—it’s a celebration, a statement and a reflection of her individuality.

“Abhi to Party Shuru Hui Hai” has quickly become the ultimate anthem for Indian weddings, perfectly capturing the essence of the modern celebration. Today, it’s no longer just about the formalities of engagement or reception nights—these events have transformed into full-blown parties.

Couples are going beyond traditional stage poses and instead turning their venues into lively dance floors, where the real fun begins. Whether it’s a high-energy DJ night or a performance by celebrity singers, these parties are all about creating unforgettable memories with siblings and friends. The focus is on fun, excitement, and letting loose, ensuring that the wedding celebrations don’t end until the very last beat drops.
