Over the last 50 years, Accor has established a diversified brand portfolio in India, with a balance between economy, midscale, premium and luxury brands. Out of the existing portfolio of brands, Novotel forms the largest network of midscale hotels in the country with 20 hotels already operational. Given their value proposition and ability to offer a consistent experience with seamless service, the Novotel brand has become a popular choice amongst guests, catering to a mix of business and leisure travellers.

Novotel has shown a prodigious graph of growth in India in just over a decade, and the launch of Novotel in a new market like Chandigarh is a significant addition to Accor’s well-rounded portfolio.

Speaking on the occasion, Puneet Dhawan, Senior Vice President of Operations – India & South Asia, Accor said “India presents substantial opportunities to grow our mid-scale brands. We believe that Novotel will be an ideal brand for the Chandigarh market as it caters to both corporate and leisure travellers. We are excited to enter a new market which further bolsters our position in North India.”
