Chef Jerson Fernandes – Executive Chef at Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia resort — was recently awarded the ‘Guinness World Record’ for his contribution to the  ‘Largest Display Of Bread Varieties’ at the Brand-Culinary academy of India Institute- Hyderabad. It was a true moment of pride for him as an individual, as well as the hotel.

Chef Jerson Fernandes has many other accolades to his credit. The expert that he is, 2019-20 has been a year of awards for him, Jerson was awarded the Star chef Award for 2019 by the Indian Federation of Culinary Association (IFCA) on 4th October, 2019 at the 8th edition of the International Chefs Conference held at Pullman-New Delhi. This is the first award of its kind on a national level to be won by Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia in the culinary arts field.  He was also recognised and awarded for the plating demo done on basic plating techniques for the young chefs present at the International Conference. This year, in January, he became the first chef from Novotel to be judging the worlds biggest young chef competition- The young chefs Olympiad-2020 at Goa’s IIHM, where young chefs from 56 countries participated in the same.
Jerson Fernandes was appointed as the Executive Chef by Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia Resort, last year. With an experience of over 12 years, the master of culinary delights has been associated with eminent chains, and now, he has gone on to add yet another feather to his cap.
