Chef Sachin Talwar is the new Head Chef of Hyatt Regency Lucknow. Chef Talwar comes with a history that has equipped him with valuable culinary knowledge from across the world and India. Chef Talwar hails from a family that originated in the Sindh region however, Chef Talwar’s grandfather relocated the family to West Bengal.
Always inclined to the craft of the kitchen, Chef Talwar pursued degree in hotel management at The International Institute of Hotel Management, Calcutta and graduated in 2000. While he was still at college he was absorbed by the Trident Udaipur property where Chef Talwar was trained in European and Indian cooking techniques, with a particular emphasis on the French tradition.
Post this, Chef Talwar decided to move to Babylon Group of Hotels — 5 star hotel and was part of the pre-opening team located at Raipur. Chef Talwar then moved to the Fortune group where he joined the Fortune Murali Park property in Vijayawada as a Sous-Chef. He stayed with the property for two years where he attained the position of Chef in Charge.
This was followed by a stint at the Double Tree by Hilton group (Now Four Points by Sheraton) and was part of the pre-opening of the property, in the capacity of Executive Sous Chef. He then moved to the Lemon Tree hotels for 5 years in the capacity of Senior Executive Chef, where the cuisine of focus was of the American, Indian and European tradition. March 2015 till December 2017, Chef Talwar was the Executive Chef at WelcomHotel Bengaluru, December 2017 till January 2019, he was associated with Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia Resort as Executive Chef and also his last assignment with Renaissance Lucknow.
