IIHM Pune & Skål International, Pune celebrates, the success of the inaugural “IIHM Young SKÅL Cricket Championship 2024”.
With Participation from 8 Hotel Management Colleges, Supported by SKÅL International PUNE, Maharashtra. IIHM Pune & Young Skål is abuzz with excitement and pride following the successful conclusion of the inaugural “IIHM Young Skål Cricket Championship 2024.”
Hosted by the IIHM Pune Sports Committee and highly supported by SKÅL International, the event showcased the remarkable talent and spirit of our student-athletes alongside those from various institutions. Spanning just one action-packed day, the tournament brought together teams from eight colleges, each vying for the coveted title of champions. The participating colleges included:
- IIHM Pune
- Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts
- Ambrosia
- Bharati Vidyapeeth
- PUMBA
- NIBR
- MA Rangoonwala
- DY Patil College
After a series of exhilarating matches, IIHM emerged victorious, claiming the title of champions, while DY Patil College secured the runner-up position.
“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response and enthusiasm shown by our students and those from other colleges throughout the tournament,” said Rupinder Singh Khurana, Director of IIHM Pune. “It’s truly inspiring to see our community come together alongside our peers to celebrate the joy of sports and camaraderie.”
Assisting Khurana and playing a crucial role in the success of the event were Sangeeta Bhattacharjee, Assistant Director and Yogesh Mane whose dedication and efforts contributed significantly to the seamless organization and execution of the championship. Upendra Dattatraya Kulkarni Director Young Skål International, Pune was instrumental in making this event a success.
While thanking all the teams and the institutes Upendra said, “We are happy to be associated with this tournament and we received overwhelming support from the Hotel Management Institutes from Pune for this cricket championship. We are thankful to all the participant teams and colleges, we are looking forward to making this event an annual event since Young SKÅL International Pune is committed to bringing the best out of Young Students & Professionals from the Hospitality & Tourism Industry and nurturing their growth with the strong support of the ever-growing SKÅL International network of 12300 + Industry Stalwarts spread across the globe, having 312 clubs in 80 countries.”
