Winter can be so fascinating: Star Alliance member LOT Polish Airlines will be adding Tromsø to its flight schedule from 1 December 2026 and will operate twice-weekly flights to this city in northern Norway until 13 February 2027

Flights to Tromsø from LOT Polish Airlines’ global hub at Warsaw Chopin Airport operate every Tuesday and Saturday; the journey time is 3 hours and 10 minutes: each Tuesday and Saturday, departure with LO 491 from Warsaw at 11:35h, arrival in Tromsø at 14:45h.
LOT Polish Airlines operates modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on this route, offering LOT Business Class and LOT Economy Class.

Northern Lights, reindeers and trolls
The real charm of Tromsø is best experienced in winter – not just because of the Northern Lights – and you’ll soon forget the cold. The little town is located right by the water and at the foot of an impressive mountain range. The Troll Museum, the Polaria Experience Centre and the Arctic Cathedral, which also serves as a concert hall, are among its most popular attractions.
For day trips, the island of Kvaløya with its magnificent fjords is well worth a visit, as is whale-watching from a boat. No less exciting is a visit to a reindeer farm, including a ride on a reindeer sleigh. You should also not miss the chance to learn about the culture of the indigenous people, the Sami.
