Radisson Blu Resort Galle has announced the appointment of Medhatithi Bhattacharjee as its new General Manager. A hospitality professional with nearly 20 years of industry experience, Medhatithi began his career in 2008 as a Front Office Associate. He has previously worked with leading hospitality brands, including Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre, where he rose through the ranks as Assistant Front Office Manager and Front Office Manager. He later served as Front Office Manager at Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences before joining Radisson Hotel Group.
During his nine-year tenure with Radisson Hotel Group, Medhatithi has held several leadership positions, advancing from Front Office Manager to Rooms Division Manager, Director of Rooms, and General Manager of Namah Resort Jim Corbett, a member of Radisson Individuals. Under his leadership, the resort recorded significant business growth following its brand conversion, including a 46% increase in top-line revenue, 79% growth in GOP, 410% growth in banquet revenue, and 40% growth in room revenue during its first year.
He was later promoted as Cluster General Manager for Namah Resort Jim Corbett, a member of Radisson Individuals, and Namah Nainital, a member of Radisson Individuals Retreats. During his tenure, the properties achieved a 99% employee engagement score, while Namah Nainital was recognised as the Ramp Up Hotel of the Year 2025 within the managed portfolio of Radisson Hotel Group.
In his new role as General Manager of Radisson Blu Resort Galle, Medhatithi will oversee the resort’s operations, guest experience, commercial performance, and strategic growth initiatives.
