Montblanc has introduced the Writers Edition Homage to Bram Stoker, dedicated to the Irish author whose 1897 novel Dracula gave definitive form to the vampire myth and left an indelible mark on literature and popular culture. The collection translates one of literature’s most recognisable narratives into a series of writing instruments shaped by references to Stoker’s work and personal life.
A pioneer of the horror genre, Bram Stoker (1847–1912) brought ancient folklore together with the scientific curiosity of his time, creating a narrative in which the supernatural and the rational coexist. This tension between darkness and discovery provides the creative foundation for the collection, informing a design language that captures the haunting atmosphere of Dracula and the scientific developments of the late Victorian era.

Across the collection, Montblanc translates elements of Stoker’s narrative into form, material and detail. An engraving of the author’s signature appears on the cap. Two marks recalling the bite wounds left by a vampire sit above a clip inspired by historical Montblanc designs.

The cone is based on the columns outside London’s Lyceum Theatre, where Stoker worked as a theatre manager and found inspiration for several of his characters. The design expresses this intellectual dimension through technical transparency and mechanical references, evoking the precision of medical instruments and the analytical thinking used in the novel’s battle against the supernatural.
The fountain pen is crafted from solid Au 750 white gold with a blackened finish and intricate engraving that emphasises its architectural structure. The barrel incorporates window-like openings and technical elements reminiscent of the Pravaz syringe.
The mechanical components inside the writing instrument and its cone feature a pattern of Celtic knots drawn by Stoker’s sister, Matilda Stoker. The cap carries detailed engravings associated with the Arts and Crafts movement, which was prominent during the period of Dracula’s publication, together with elements of the Stoker family crest.
The writing instrument is crowned with a Montblanc emblem in red jasper accompanied by two garnets. Its ruthenium- and rhodium-coated gold nib is decorated with further elements of Stoker’s heraldry.

The Writers Edition Homage to Bram Stoker Limited Edition 8 is the most intricately constructed release in the collection. Its design draws on the protective symbols and rituals used to ward off vampires in Dracula.
An elaborate floral composition incorporates garlic and wild rose motifs, elements traditionally associated with protection against evil. These are rendered through hand-applied enamel, mother-of-pearl inlays and detailed engraving.
Crafted from solid Au 750 gold, the writing instrument features signature-gold fittings set with brilliant-cut diamonds and accented with red garnets. The solid-gold cone and forepart are laser-engraved with a floral pattern.
The cap top is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in pavé-set diamonds and surrounded by red jasper. Its solid-gold nib carries a three-dimensional engraving and a diamond accent. The construction brings together several métiers d’art, including stone setting, engraving and enamel work.
The wider release also includes a special purple ink and a black textured velvet notebook carrying the floral design seen on the Limited Edition 8. A set of round steel cufflinks set with jasper completes the collection.
