Panaji’s Picturesque Outdoor Venue: Introducing the New ‘Riverfront’

The Riverfront, recently opened along the Mandovi in Panaji. Located near the erstwhile Mandovi Hotel, a popular city landmark, and spread across 700 feet along the banks of the river it is capable of hosting a wide range of events, from weddings and social celebrations to corporate functions, pop-ups, exhibitions and cultural evenings.

Developed by the Bengaluru-based MRG Group, The Riverfront reflects the group’s growing presence in Goa’s hospitality and real estate space. The venue is supported by modern infrastructure, dedicated service areas and parking facilities, while remaining deliberately restrained in its architectural language, allowing events themselves to shape the atmosphere.

“We wanted The Riverfront to be a space that feels natural to Panaji in its openness and accessibility, while blending into the city’s architectural and cultural ethos. The Mandovi is central to this city’s identity, and our aim was to create a venue that acknowledges that presence without trying to dominate it,” said Dr K. Prakash Shetty, chairman of the MRG Group.

The Riverfront has a private access river jetty, ample capacity to host 1000 guests, as well as a private car park for 55 vehicles.
