Synergy Global Housing (Synergy), announced the addition of Patrick Shearer as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Patrick Shearer will be based out of Synergy’s headquarters in San Ramon, CA and report to President, Debra Christopher.
“What impressed me most about Patrick is his depth of experience and expertise across all facets of financial operations,” said Christopher. “His work in both the private and public sector will prove instrumental in helping us achieve our goals and further propel our growth as a leader in the extended-stay housing industry.”
Shearer has over 25 years of experience leading accounting, finance and special project teams both domestically and internationally. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in accounting, finance, management, risk management, strategic planning and transactions. Before Synergy,
Shearer was a partner with a big 4 professional services firm where he held numerous leadership positions and acted as a trusted advisor to venture companies, private equity funds and corporate entities, ranging from start-ups to multinational operators across a variety of industries. Most recently, he was the CFO of a publicly listed coffee company.
“Synergy is in an exceptional position to continue its global expansion and reach its overall growth and revenue diversification targets,” said Shearer. “I’m excited to work closely with Debra and the rest of Synergy’s executive team as we continue to fortify our leadership position in the service accommodation sector.”
Shearer will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including leading the finance team, managing financial resources, developing and implementing financial strategies, and risk management.
