Strong 9,000 B2B meetings to be held at The Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart

The Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) slated to be held from 22 to 24 July will witness a whopping around 9,000 B2B structured meetings between buyers and sellers.

These meetings will be held between buyers coming from pan-India and exhibitors. Almost 400 buyers (domestic tour operators) from across the country will also participate.

Around 200 exhibitors will showcase the prowess and potential of their tourism products like hotels, resorts, amusement parks, etc. This was stated by the President, Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR), Apurv Kumar. It is to be noted that The Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart has been jointly organised by the State Department of Tourism and FHTR.

Apurv Kumar further informed that the inaugural ceremony will be held on 22 July at Hotel Clarks Amer. The ceremony will witness the presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot; Minister of Art and Culture, Government of Rajasthan, Dr B.D. Kalla; Minister of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Vishvendra Singh; Chief Secretary, Usha Sharma, and Principal Secretary of Tourism, Gayatri Rathore. Similarly, President Emeritus, Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA), Gaj Singh Jodhpur, and President Honour, FHTR, Bhim Singh will also be present on the occasion.

The convenor of The Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart and Vice President, FHTR, Khalid Khan said that the next two days (23 and 24 July) at the Birla Auditorium will be fully dedicated to B2B meetings between the exhibitors belonging to Rajasthan and the buyers from pan-India.

Numerous exhibitors will showcase the prowess and potential of their tourism products like hotels, resorts, amusement parks, etc. The buyers will comprise domestic tour operators who will come from all parts of India.

Khalid Khan further said that there is a tremendous response from both exhibitors and domestic tour operators. This travel mart will go a long way in reviving the tourism sector in Rajasthan post-Covid. He also informed that 5 pre-event roadshows have been held in Jaipur, Mandawa, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, and Udaipur to promote the RDTM.

It is to be recalled that the first edition of The Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart had been organised in 2018 and was a huge success. RDTM’22 is the second edition.
