Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel appoints Puneet Sharma as director of Food and Beverages

Marriott International’s premium hotel, Renaissance Ahmedabad, recently announced the appointment of Puneet Sharma, as the director of Food and Beverages (F&B).

At Renaissance Ahmedabad, Sharma, who comes with over a decade of work experience, will be overseeing the complete operations of the F&B unit of the hotel. In addition to this, he would also be responsible for propelling strategic F&B branding and promotions for the hotel.
Sharma hails from Rajasthan and holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from Institute of Hotel Management in Gwalior. He brings along him an extensive experience of more than 15 years in the hospitality sector and has carved out a niche in the F&B segment. He has been affiliated with a range of brands from luxury to economy, the likes of which include Marriott International’s luxury hotel, JW Marriott in Mumbai, along with its other properties such as Sheraton Grand Hotel in Bengaluru, Marriott Whitefield in Bengaluru and Courtyard by Marriott in Gurgaon, as well as other hotels including Novotel, Ibis Chennai OMR.
In fact, he has worked with three hotels during the pre-opening phase not just in the F&B segment but also in operations and events. Thanks to his multi-faceted experience, Puneet has comprehensive understanding of international food and beverage trends, restaurant management and event operations.
“I’ve had a long association with Marriott International, having catered to a number of its properties across India in different capacities. I am indeed excited about this opportunity of working at Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel located in the country’s first UNESCO World Heritage City. The diverse culinary culture of Ahmedabad draws its influence not just from an assortment of rich, local flavours, but also from the recent introduction and increasing acceptance of authentic pan-Asian cuisine including Japanese, Chinese, and other oriental flavours. I look forward to working in the F&B segment here to deliver Marriott International’s promise of a unique experience,” says Sharma.
