Spain is the world leader in Blue Flag beaches, with a record of 621 sites. The iconic Blue Flag is one of the world’s most recognised awards, which demonstrates that a beach meets stringent environmental, safety and accessibility criteria.
The AVIS Car team scoured 3 million Google searches to pinpoint the most secluded Blue Flag beaches in Spain. After analysing the data, AVIS was able to rank the top 10 beaches off the beaten path, perfect for travellers who want to escape the crowds and relax by the sea.
Topping the list is Os Frades Beach, a pristine beach nestled in the hills of the Baiona coastline. With its crystal-clear waters and picturesque views, it’s no wonder why this beach ranks number one on AVIS’ list. Ezaro Beach, located near the mouth of the Jallas River, comes in at a close second with its golden sand and tranquil atmosphere. Cala Forn Beach takes the third spot with its lush greenery and peaceful ambience.
