Rishi S Puri recently took over as Senior Vice President – Operations, Mayfair Hotels & Resorts.
An alumnus of the prestigious IHM – Lucknow, he comes with a rich experience spanning over three decades in the hospitality industry. The experience has seen him representing some of the best hotel chains in India.
One of the most prolific personalities in the hospitality industry Rishi S Puri joined Mayfair Hotels & Resorts about four months ago based at their corporate office in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
About his new role, Rishi S Puri says, “I feel like a traveller, who has started a journey of a thousand miles with footsteps taking me from Mumbai to Bhubaneshwar the Temple City. I am looking forward to achieving even higher levels of hospitality, delivering our guests the kind of resort experience that only Mayfair can offer, and building an enduring love for our hotel”.
His core competencies include overall hotel management, operations & development, including revenue, marketing & sales strategy, and implementation. He is a proven, collaborative leader who works across organizations & builds relationships.
He understands the complexities of a multifaceted, operation and is well-experienced in successfully managing a diverse workforce, forming, motivating, and leading high-performance teams, and building trusted partnerships. He has an entrepreneurial, inquisitive mind, is a quick learner, and is a strategic planner with the ability to turn thoughts into action.
Specialized in change management and top-line & bottom-line revenues management he has been successful in creating better experiences for guests, associates, management, and owners.
Mayfair Hotels and Resorts has a major presence in the Northeast, and East and is gradually growing all over the country. The chain is well known for exponential properties and larger-than-life hotels. Rishi S Puri prefers to term them “Museums”. This comes from the fact that all hotels are well adorned with artifacts, life-size statues, and exclusive green spaces that stand out. “Many of our hotels have Vintage Cars which are a sight worth clicking,” he shares.
Now with a few months put behind him, he has seen almost all the hotels owned/managed by the chain and is exhilarated with the quality of each of them. He shares, “They all are bespoke uber luxury upper upscale hotels and have some of finest destination weddings facilities apart from world-class Spa backed by a dedicated team of professionals. The hotel group’s ideology is to create and preserve nature and hence the line of “Stay with Us Stay with Nature” is truly depicted in the hotel offerings.”
