The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts announced the appointment of Sai Shankar as Vice President Procurement.
Sai Shankar brings with him over two decades of extensive experience in Procurement, including tendering of new projects, bulk supply sourcing and strategizing for annual capital expenditure.
His last assignment was with PVR limited – Gurgaon, where he was responsible for procurement of various verticals including manpower planning, housekeeping, security, engineering, and sound & projection equipment for Cinemas pan India.
Prior to this he has also worked with hospitality brands including Taj, EIH, Mahindra Holidays, and Claridges. In his new role, Shankar will align the procurement team and set up procurement processes and policies for The Leela brand.
In addition, he will also lead the cost-savings initiatives and resource optimization for the brand that will help in improving profitability. Shankar is an alumnus of Osmania University and a Master’s degree holder in Supply Chain Management from NIBM.
