Hyatt Place, Hampi, recently announced the appointment of Shalabh Verma as the new General Manager of the hotel. Verma is a seasoned hotelier with over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. He has been associated with the Hyatt Hotels & Resorts for 10 years, where he has worked with multiple hotels.
In his new role, Verma will be responsible for the entire operations and will spearhead the growth and development of the hotel. Verma is a skilled revenue analyst and a market strategist. His core expertise lies in delivering successful outcomes by empowering the teams and building efficient processes.
Verma’s past experience includes working with hotel brands like Inter Continental and Leela . His journey with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts began in 2008 as Director of Sales at Park Hyatt, Goa Resorts & Spa. He then moved to Hyatt Regency, Kolkata as Director of Sales and Marketing. After a brief stint at Kempinski Ambience Hotel in New Delhi in early 2014, he re-joined the Hyatt family, as Director of Sales & Marketing at Park Hyatt, Chennai. His most recent position was as Director of Sales and Marketing with Grand Hyatt Mumbai.
Verma is an alumnus of the Institute of Advanced Management with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality. He enjoys travelling, socialising and making new friends in his spare time.
