Anitha Simon has been appointed as the Director of Human Resources at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa. Bringing with her 13 years of experience in the service industry, Anitha takes on a leadership position to create a positive environment, wherein the whole team is aligned with the goals of the hotel.
Anitha has a background of repeated success in implementing the best HR practices and building successful HR department start-ups through her pre-opening experiences. Her diverse management styles, quick thinking and eloquent communication have exemplified her ability to build strong and lasting relationships. As the Director of Human Resource at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, Anitha will implement her excellent interpersonal communication skills, critical thinking, budget handling, counselling, and management skills to further boost the dynamic energy at the resort. She ensures applicable laws, regulations, brand policies at the hotel, and maintains effective communications at all levels of management.
Anitha has completed her Master of Business Administration in Human Resources and Finance and Bachelor of Nutrition, Food Service Management & Dietetics, from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. Her professional journey began as an HR Executive at Avatar International Chennai, and she worked her way across various international hospitality brands such as Traders Hotel, Chennai by Shangri-La, Courtyard by Marriott, Chennai, ITC Hotels Limited – Sheraton Park Hotel & Tower, Hilton Chennai, before taking on her new role at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa.

In her spare time, Anitha enjoys watching movies and spending time with her 6-year-old daughter. They both love to dabble in creative art work. She is gregarious, fun loving and a people’s person by nature.
