Solar Aqua has introduced the Mishipeshu G.L., a dive watch with a 40 mm case and a stated water resistance of 500 metres (50 ATM)

It uses a Swiss Peseux automatic movement customised by Solar Aqua and comes in three dial colours: abyssal black, moss green and deep blue.

G.L. stands for the Great Lakes. Mishipeshu, also known as the Great Underwater Panther, is a guardian of deep waters in the traditions of some Indigenous peoples of North America. The watch takes its name from this figure, and its arrow-shaped hands echo the creature’s claws.
The dial’s depth marking refers to Lake Superior, the deepest of the five Great Lakes at 406 metres. The caseback depicts the Great Lakes, and the side of the case has engraved GPS coordinates. The serial number appears between the case and the strap.

The 316L stainless steel case has a brushed matte finish and geometric cut-outs in the lugs. The unidirectional rotating bezel, also made of 316L stainless steel, has polished raised markings, a brushed base and a textured edge for grip. The stainless steel crown is knurled and screws down, as does the stainless steel caseback.
A sapphire crystal covers the dial, with a magnifying lens over the date display. White Super-LumiNova coats the applied round hour markers and arrow-shaped hands for low-light visibility.

Strap options include a longitudinally ribbed version and a crocodile-pattern silicone strap. The buckle is made of 316L stainless steel. Bracelets and silicone and leather straps are interchangeable across the Prima Abyss and Mishipeshu collections, including the Mishipeshu Original and G.L. models.
