Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Sumit Ghosh as its Associate Vice President – Sales, reinforcing its senior leadership as the hospitality group scales operations across multiple Indian markets

In his new role, he will lead the company’s sales strategy, strengthen key accounts, and drive revenue growth across the portfolio. He would be responsible for corporate sales, key account management, market development, and synchronisation of sales plans and Cygnett’s strategies relating to their growth plans. He would work closely with key individuals in the company and their asset partners.
Ghosh brings in excess of 24 years of experience in the hotel industry, along with substantial expertise in sales leadership, business development, and revenue roles in the branded hotel chains. He is a postgraduate in the field of Marketing Management (PGDBA) from the SCDL–Symbiosis, Pune, has a Diploma in Hotel Management from IIHM, Kolkata, and a BA in International Hospitality Management from Queen Margaret University, Scotland.
Before Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, Sumit Ghosh was associated with some of the most prestigious hotel chains, including the Wyndham Hotel Group, Royal Orchid Hotels, Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, Jaypee Hotels, Best Western Premier, and Sunday Hotels. He has worked with varied sets of hotels in metros as well as other regions, thus adding to the restructuring of business, corporate alliances, and growth in top-line business in the past.
