The Oberoi Group unveils Naila Fort, a 19th-Century Heritage Residence for private stays near Jaipur

The Oberoi Group has announced the opening of its first luxury residence, Naila Fort – An Oberoi Luxury Residence

This extraordinary private retreat welcomes guests to experience the rich history and architecture of Rajasthan. It is complemented by the quiet refinement and gracious hospitality for which Oberoi is recognised globally.

Originally built in 1849 by the Champawat clan, Naila Fort has been meticulously conserved and  restored. It has been reimagined as an ultra-luxury four-bedroom residence and will be ready to welcome the first guests from 15 February, 2026.

Perched on a gentle hilltop and set amidst the open countryside close to Jaipur, the fort commands sweeping views of its natural surroundings and of the Aravalli hills. It offers a profound sense of calm and seclusion, while remaining within easy reach of the city’s cultural and historical heart. Conceived as a private heritage home, the residence can only be reserved in its entirety. This ensures complete discretion and personal space.

Sunlit courtyards, carved archways, elegant salons and expansive terraces overlooking the Aravalli landscape define its character. Antique furnishings, curated artworks and original architectural details evoke its noble past. These are complemented by contemporary comforts and the attentive yet unobtrusive service that is synonymous with The Oberoi Group.

Guests are welcomed by a traditional Ganesh Vandana ceremony in the fort’s private temple. This sets a tone of serenity and quiet reverence. From there, each stay is guided by the preferences of its guests. This may include curated cultural excursions in Jaipur, private celebrations within the fort, or simply unhurried days immersed in the stillness of the countryside.

Dining forms a central part of life at Naila Fort. It is crafted as a deeply personal experience. Menus are designed daily by Oberoi chefs in consultation with guests. They draw inspiration from royal Rajasthani and Mughal kitchens as well as refined international cuisine.

At the heart of the culinary experience is the fort’s intimate dining hall, adorned with delicate mirror work and subtle royal detailing that reflect the craftsmanship of Rajasthan’s heritage homes. Meals may also be enjoyed in a variety of atmospheric settings – beneath open skies in the fort’s magnificent gardens, by the swimming pool, within candlelit halls, or on terraces overlooking the surrounding countryside. Ingredients are sourced with care. Each meal is served with thoughtful attention to detail by a dedicated culinary and service team.

Announcing the opening of Naila Fort to guests, Arjun Oberoi, Executive Chairman, The Oberoi Group, said, “Restoring Naila Fort has been an act of both responsibility and reverence. It stands as a reminder that heritage, when cared for with integrity, can continue to inspire and enrich contemporary life. Through this residence, we offer our guests an experience shaped by authenticity, privacy and enduring craftsmanship – values that have guided our family and our company for generations.”

Vikram Oberoi, CEO, The Oberoi Group, added, “Naila Fort represents a thoughtful evolution of how we extend Oberoi hospitality. It allows us to offer something deeply personal – the space, discretion and freedom of a private home, combined with the service philosophy and exacting standards that define our hotels worldwide.”

Naila Fort offers a rare opportunity to experience a living chapter of Rajasthan’s history. Here, architectural legacy, thoughtful conservation, restoration and understated luxury exist in quiet harmony. The Fort offers an ideal set up for intimate family gatherings, milestone celebrations or extended private stays. Guests are invited to slow down and immerse themselves in a setting elevated by Oberoi’s legendary service.
