The Oberoi Group has partnered with The Job Plus and the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council to skill 200 young people across India with job-ready skills designed to benefit the hospitality industry at large

Known globally for its ethos of excellence, integrity, and commitment to service, The Oberoi Group is extending its values beyond its own hotels by investing in the future of the industry. The program will prepare youth with high-quality, industry-recognized training that equips them to build sustainable careers across leading hospitality brands in India and abroad.

This collaborative effort underscores a critical shift in the way leading hotel groups are approaching talent development—going beyond immediate workforce needs and instead building an industry-ready pool of skilled youth who will strengthen the sector as a whole.
“At The Oberoi Group, we have always believed that hospitality is not just about serving guests, but about serving society at large—by creating livelihoods, fostering dignity through work, and contributing to the industry’s long-term growth. Through this partnership with The Job Plus and THSC, we look forward to driving meaningful impact together,” shared Shailja Singh, Chief Human Resource Officer, The Oberoi Group.
Speaking about the initiative, Divya Krishan, Chief Growth Officer, The Job Plus, said, “The Oberoi Group has always been synonymous with excellence. This initiative reflects their ethos in its purest form—stepping forward not just for their own properties but for the entire hospitality ecosystem. At The Job Plus, we are proud to bring our expertise in employability-focused skilling to this collaboration, ensuring that every youth trained is ready to thrive in the industry.”
“Through this initiative, The Oberoi Group reaffirms its leadership role in shaping the future of hospitality talent in India. The collaboration with The Job Plus and THSC ensures that the training remains demand-driven, industry-aligned, and transformative for the youth who will benefit”, she added.

Rajan Bahadur, CEO, Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council, shared, “This collaboration underlines the power of collective responsibility in nation-building. Through this partnership, THSC aims to provide underprivileged youth with access to quality training, empowering them to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to the hospitality sector.”
