Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Vicky Kumar as the Executive Chef of the hotel.
His new role and responsibilities will include, overseeing all the culinary operations, brand program, quality and hygiene assurance, team building, and business strategy for the Food & Beverage venues of the hotel which includes ‘Nori’- the finest Pan Asian restaurant in Mumbai, ‘3132’- which is acclaimed for its breath-taking view from 32nd floor and sumptuous dishes, and ‘Seasonal Tastes’- an all-day dining venue serving international cuisine as well as the banquets.
Chef Vicky Kumar is a resilient learner and has many accolades to his name, having had an illustrious career spanning over 10+ years.
Vicky started his culinary journey with Taj group of hotels in year 2012 as Hotel Operations Management Trainee. Later he joined Marriott International in year 2014 and worked with 3 different brands which helped him to grew up in his career. A few of the prestigious properties where he has cooked up a gastronomic storm include – Courtyard by Marriott Agra and Marriott Hotel Indore. He explored his cuisine palate whilst working with Sun Siyam Resorts Maldives where he worked with internationally renowned Chefs. This upgraded skillset led him to succeed in securing the Head Chef position at Sun Siyam Maldives, which was his last assignment.
Chef Vicky Kumar has acquired a wealth of knowledge and his fervent passion for culinary art has made him a star in the hospitality realm. His forte includes food styling, restaurant food concept creation and menu engineering with a strong focus on improving service while preserving the highest levels of quality.
Chef Vicky is a meticulous worker and team player. He has the flair for curating a delectable paradise with a fusion of traditions mixed with contemporary modernity.
