IHG Hotels and Resorts has signed a management agreement with Rajdeep Infra & Sales for the development of voco Lucknow. Scheduled to open in Q3 2029, the upcoming hotel will introduce IHG’s fastest-growing premium brand to this vital capital city, reinforcing the company’s strategic expansion in high-potential urban centres across India.

Located in Ashiyana, one of Lucknow’s most sought-after areas, the hotel will benefit from excellent connectivity to major urban centres and is situated a short drive from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. Lucknow, the capital of India’s most populous state, is a rapidly expanding economy and a significant hub for business, government, education, and cultural tourism, attracting a consistent stream of domestic and international travellers.

As a distinctive premium brand, voco delivers a premium experience that combines the informality and charm of an individual hotel with the quality and reassurance of a global and respected brand. The 135-key hotel is currently under construction. This project will represent the third IHG hotel in Lucknow, joining the operational Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels, and demonstrates IHG’s commitment to building a strong brand presence in key cities.

IHG currently has 51 hotels operating across six brands in India, including Six SensesInterContinental Hotels and ResortsCrowne Plazavoco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express. With a robust pipeline of 80 hotels in development, the company is strategically advancing its ambition to more than triple its estate in the market, targeting over 400 open and in-development hotels within the next five years.
