DoubleTree by Hilton Bengaluru Airport has announced the appointment of its four senior leaders, strengthening commercial and operational capabilities at DoubleTree by Hilton near the airport
The move also reinforces focus on people development and financial governance to support future growth.
Suhas Sharma joins as the Commercial Director. In his role, Suhas will lead the hotel’s overall commercial strategy, overseeing sales, marketing, revenue management, and strategic partnerships to drive market positioning and topline performance. A seasoned hospitality professional with nearly two decades of experience across leading global hotel brands, he brings deep expertise in revenue optimisation, client engagement, and market development. Prior to this role, he has previously held Director of Sales position at Conrad Bengaluru, Renaissance Bengaluru.
A recipient of multiple industry accolades, including Leader of the Year APAC (2024), the President’s Circle Award, Excellence Award (2017), and Leadership in Excellence (2020), Suhas is known for his participative leadership style and innovative approach to sales.
Commenting on his appointment, Suhas Sharma said, “I look forward to building strong commercial momentum for the hotel by fostering meaningful partnerships, empowering teams, and delivering sustainable revenue growth aligned with the brand’s vision.”
Payal Joshi joins as Director of Operations, where she will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day hotel operations, driving service excellence across rooms and guest-facing departments, and ensuring operational efficiency and brand consistency. Bringing over two decades of extensive operational leadership experience across rooms division, housekeeping, and pre-opening assignments, she has previously held the position of Room Division Manager at Double Tree by Hilton Bengaluru Whitefield and Complex Executive Housekeeper at Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park and more.
Payal Joshi on her appointment said, “My focus will be on strengthening operational consistency while creating seamless, guest-centric experiences through empowered and engaged teams.”
Amitabha Patranabis has been appointed Director of Human Resources. In his current role, Amitabha will lead people strategy, talent development, employee engagement, and organisational culture, ensuring alignment between business goals and workforce capability. With over 20 years of HR leadership experience across brands including DoubleTree by Hilton, IHG Hotels & Resorts, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, and Sayaji Hotels, he brings strong expertise in building high-performing, people-first organisations.
On his appointment Amitabha Patranabis said, “I am committed to nurturing a people-first culture that supports growth, collaboration, and long-term organisational success.”
Kalyan Grandhi takes on the role of Director of Finance, where he will oversee financial planning, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, and strategic financial decision-making to support sustainable profitability. Bringing more than 15 years of financial leadership experience across luxury and upscale hospitality brands such as OZEN Reserve Bolifushi, ITC Limited, Accor, Marriott International, Novotel, and Fairfield by Marriott.
On his appointment Kalyan Grandhi said, “I look forward to strengthening financial discipline and partnering with the leadership team to support the hotel’s long-term growth and performance objectives.”
