Binay Patnaik brings disciplined financial leadership to Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa’s future
Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Binay Patnaik as Finance Controller. Patnaik is a management accountant who brings to this role not just technical command of hotel finance, but a deeper understanding of how financial discipline shapes the way a property operates, performs and grows.
Binay Patnaik joins the resort with experience across Park Hyatt Hyderabad and Hyatt Place Hampi, where he held progressively senior finance roles. At Hyatt Place Hampi, as Finance Manager and Head of Department, he oversaw month-end closing, payroll, and internal audit, and worked with department heads on cost discipline and budget management. At Park Hyatt Hyderabad, as Taxation Manager, he handled financial statements, tax audits, MIS reporting, and led the automation of income audit processes alongside the GST system integration.
Binay Patnaik joined Hilton Hyderabad during pre-opening and built its financial infrastructure from the ground up, covering accounting systems, PMS/POS integration, statutory registrations, and compliance. The hotel opened operationally sound.
In its very first month, the property delivered a 40 per cent Gross Operating Profit. Since opening, he has kept that discipline in place, driving MIS reporting, cash flow management, vendor oversight, and coordination with corporate and auditors as the hotel grows.
As Finance Controller, Patnaik leads the full scope of financial operations at the resort. His responsibilities span budgeting and forecasting, payroll, internal audit, taxation, and compliance with Hilton’s global financial standards. Sharing his thoughts, Binay Patnaik said, “Hilton sets a standard that I respect. Being part of this property from its earliest days and seeing what we have achieved together makes this role one I take great pride in. The foundation is strong. My focus now is on sustaining that and raising the bar further.”
