Venezianico has expanded its Arsenale collection with the launch of Arsenale Moissanite, the first jewellery-watch series by the Morelli brothers’ maison. The new line combines the architectural design language of the Arsenale range with lab-grown baguette moissanites, natural mother-of-pearl dials and hand-set bezels.

Designed in compact 37 mm proportions, Arsenale Moissanite marks a new direction for the brand, bringing jewellery-inspired detailing into a contemporary automatic watch. The collection is aimed at a refined audience and has been developed with an aesthetic that speaks naturally to both male and female wrists.

Venice, craftsmanship and the pursuit of light

“For centuries, Venice was one of the world’s great crossroads for gemstones, craftsmanship and decorative arts,” said Alberto Morelli, CEO of Venezianico. “Stones from across the globe passed through La Serenissima, nourishing a tradition built on precious workmanship, gem-setting and the pursuit of light as an expressive element. Arsenale Moissanite is born from this cultural heritage and reinterprets it through the contemporary savoir-faire of Venezianico and the collaboration with Vicenza-based master goldsmith Davide Cestonaro, a leading figure in Italian artisanal high jewellery.”

The series introduces lab-grown baguette moissanites for the first time within the Arsenale collection. Chosen for their ability to refract light, the stones are individually set along the bezel and dial indexes, turning light into a key design element of the watch.

The baguette cut, defined by sharp and elongated lines, creates controlled reflections that align with the integrated structure of the Arsenale design. In this interpretation, light is treated as part of the watch’s architecture rather than a decorative addition.

Mother-of-pearl dials and hand-set precision

The natural mother-of-pearl dials add another layer to the visual composition. Available in four shades, white, black, pink and light blue, the dials create iridescent surfaces that shift depending on the angle and intensity of light. The tones give the timepiece a refined yet contemporary character.

The bezel was developed through months of research, prototyping and refinement. Each stone is positioned manually through a process that combines artisanal skill with technical accuracy. According to the brand, the smallest details were studied to preserve the visual harmony of the watch.

Master goldsmith Davide Cestonaro played a central role in the project. He worked with Venezianico on the architecture of the bezel, the selection of moissanites and the overall balance of the composition, particularly in relation to the way each surface reflects and interprets light.

“Baguette setting demands absolute precision and visual continuity,” said Cestonaro. “Every stone must interact perfectly with the metal structure of the watch so that light can flow harmoniously across the entire bezel.”

Compact proportions, automatic movement

The watch remains faithful to the proportions of the Arsenale line, with a 37 mm case diameter and a thickness of 9 mm. The integrated design alternates satin-finished surfaces with polished details, creating a clean and structured aesthetic. The compact case and controlled brilliance of the stones position the model as both a contemporary timepiece and a jewellery object.

Inside the watch is the automatic Miyota 9039 calibre, selected for its reliability, smooth operation and slim profile. The model also features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and water resistance up to 50 metres.

With Arsenale Moissanite, Venezianico presents a more decorative expression of its Arsenale design language while retaining the collection’s architectural discipline. The new series brings together Venice’s historic association with gemstones and craftsmanship with a contemporary approach to jewellery-watch design.
