Accor has announced the signing of Mantis Nagarhole, an upcoming eco-resort in Karnataka. The signing marks the debut of the Mantis brand in India and adds to the brand’s hospitality portfolio in the region.

The resort will be located on the edge of Nagarhole Tiger Reserve, which forms part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Scheduled to open in 2028, Mantis Nagarhole will be developed as a 31-key wilderness retreat spread across approximately 13 acres.

The property will include a mix of cottages and rooms, along with an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, swimming pool, spa, gym, viewing tower and outdoor spaces. Planned guest experiences include guided safaris, nature trails and cultural activities.

The project is being developed by Macs Max Private Limited, led by Balram Hirehal Jairaj. The group has interests in hospitality and real estate, with a focus on leisure destinations in South India.
