Hospitality entrepreneur Gaurav Narang, founder of Coffee Culture, has launched his 34th venture with the opening of Morjim Culture, a beachfront venue that changes character over the course of the day. Located directly on Morjim Beach, Goa the space functions as a café in the morning, a sundowner destination by evening, and a speakeasy bar after dark.

The venue introduces a fluid format intended to reflect the rhythm of its surroundings, offering different menus and atmospheres based on the time of day.

In its morning configuration, Morjim Culture offers a café experience with a menu built around artisanal coffee and nourishing meals. Highlights from the coffee programme include a 24-hour Cold Drip, PourOver, and iced blends such as Mont Blanc—featuring mascarpone foam and orange zest—and The Oat Life, combining jaggery with oat milk and espresso. The menu also includes Dirty Matcha and Ghana cacao-infused cold brew.

Food options range from a Dragonfruit Smoothie Bowl and Tofu & Chimichurri Bowl to Overnight Oats and signature breakfast offerings under a “Post-Surf Breakfast” section.

By late afternoon, the café transitions into a sundowner spot with views of the beach at sunset. The menu expands to include small plates and mains such as the Vietnamese Beach Bowl, Smoky Lamb or Chicken Urfa, and seafood dishes like the Shore Seafood Herb Salad and Kataifi Prawns. Sushi offerings include the Black Forest Prawn Roll and Tempura Sushi, with vegetarian options like the Jackfruit Adana Kebab also available.

Comfort dishes such as Butter Garlic Rice bowls and Shrimp Island Tortellini are served alongside desserts including Apollo (coffee, Baileys, pistachio cream, finger biscuit) and Marble Cheesecake.

The cocktail list reflects a mix of light and complex profiles, with drinks such as the Irish Maid (Irish whiskey, cucumber, elderflower), Hey Honey (gin and grapefruit), and Matchatini (vodka, yuzu, matcha). Other options include Mexican Murder, featuring tequila, Aperol, and jalapeño, and Pepino Picante with cucumber and coriander.

Night: Unculture, the Concealed Bar

After sunset, the back section of the venue opens as Unculture, a speakeasy-style bar operating behind discreet doors. The space shifts the tone towards late-night music and informal gatherings, with a changing cocktail selection and a board that allows guests to request drinks based on mood rather than menu.

Specialty cocktails include the Spro’groni—a coffee-infused Negroni variant—and the Frisky Raw Mango Picante, made with tequila, raw mango, and jalapeño.
