IHCL names Aejaz Shaikh Hotel Manager of Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage, Goa, strengthening hotel leadership
Indian Hotels Company Limited has announced the appointment of Aejaz Shaikh as Hotel Manager, Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage, Goa.
Shaikh has over 20 years of experience in hospitality, with a background in hotel operations, commercial strategy and brand development. Shaikh is an alumnus of the University of Madras and the University of Mumbai. He holds qualifications in business management, marketing and hospitality.
Prior to this appointment, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing for Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon and Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage. In that role, he led commercial strategy across rooms, food and beverage, events and ancillary revenue streams.
According to the company, during his tenure in the sales and marketing function, the hotels recorded growth across segments, including MICE, weddings and leisure, along with increased visibility in domestic and international markets.
Commenting on the appointment, Vivek Batra, General Manager, Taj Cidade de Goa, said, “Aejaz’s strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of the Goa market make him well-suited to lead Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage. We are confident that his leadership will further strengthen the hotel’s positioning and drive continued excellence in guest experiences.”
