Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Chef Ashish Kandwal as the Executive Chef

Chef Ashish brings over 14 years of global culinary experience across iconic luxury brands, including JW Marriott, Waldorf Astoria (Doha – Pre-opening), Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency LA, Taj, Oberoi, Hilton International, and Mandarin Oriental.
Chef Ashish has worked across Japan, Dubai, Doha (Qatar), the Caribbean, and the Bahamas, leading multi-outlet kitchens, managing large teams, and delivering VVIP weddings, ministerial events, and large-scale banquets.

His culinary philosophy is rooted in seasonal ingredients, consistency, kitchen discipline, and team development, with expertise in Modern Indian, Continental, Italian, and Asian cuisines, alongside a strong command of menu engineering, food cost control, and HACCP standards.
