Chef Mohit Tak appointed new Executive Sous Chef at Taj Rambagh Palace, Jaipur

Chef Mohit Tak is an integral part of the Taj Hotel’s culinary hierarchy and has been associated with the brand since 2010. Chef Mohit Tak joined Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) as its Management Trainee in food production operations and built his culinary skills at various Taj Hotels in India.

An alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management – Bangalore, Chef Tak acquires his degree in Hotel Management and administration as one of the toppers from the college during his graduation. Born and raised in the Capital City, Delhi its cognizant of all the ambiguity on his fingers. He is amongst the foremost Young Chefs of the Nation who bring together his Culinary Journey from the Country’s Best to the World’s Best.

Chef Mohit Tak has spent most of his tenure working in Kitchens of the Taj’s Flagship and Iconic property in Delhi at The Taj Mahal Hotel,   where he climbed the ladders to become the youngest Sous Chef of the Hotel and the City. He played a vital role in the opening of the newly revamped Taj’s legendary restaurant Machan, where he worked closely in defining the menu and interpreting the art on a plate while giving his input to the success story of the restaurant to acclaim the top spot in the Food & Beverage philosophy in Delhi, which literally made him popular by giving a tag line as “Chef of Machan”.

His International experiences count as a great value for the brand Taj, as he has been an asset to the company’s culinary experiences for over a decade. Recently he has been to London as the opening Chef of the major food and beverage outlets namely TH@51 and Taj the Chambers at Taj St. James Court & 51 Buckingham Gate, London, United Kingdom.

Chef Mohit Tak also got an opportunity to work and develop his culinary skills at the Three Michelin Star, the World’s best restaurant NOMA in Copenhagen, Denmark in the year 2019, where he was trained with one of the most influential Chef Rene Redzepi and his team.

In his new role at the Taj Rambagh Palace, Jaipur, Chef Mohit Tak would be spearheading the culinary operations and team alongside the Executive Chef and would be overlooking the operations of the renowned food and beverage outlets namely Suvarna Mahal, Rajput Room, Polo Bar and Steam. With this, he would work on the expansion and development of the overall Hotel’s Food and beverage introductions to the Pink City, Jaipur.
