Hyatt Regency Ludhiana has announced the appointment of Debjeet Banerjee as General Manager. In his new role, Debjeet will oversee the hotel’s overall operations, market positioning, sales strategy, business growth initiatives and administration. His focus will be on strengthening profitability, creating long-term value for owners and stakeholders, and enhancing the hotel’s reputation as a preferred destination for both business and leisure travellers.

With a clear leadership vision of building “a great luxury hotel for guests and a great workplace for employees”, Debjeet brings with him strong operational expertise, strategic thinking and a people-first approach.

Over the course of his career, Debjeet has held leadership roles with some of the country’s most respected hospitality brands, including The Park New Delhi, Taj Lands End Mumbai, Taj Palace New Delhi and Grand Hyatt New Delhi. He is recognised for his operational acumen, focus on team development and ability to build high-performing teams while consistently delivering memorable guest experiences.

Known for his compassionate and open leadership style, Debjeet believes in empowering people and creating an environment built on trust, motivation and collaboration. His approach places equal emphasis on guest satisfaction, employee engagement and business performance.

In his new role, Debjeet will focus on strengthening the hotel’s market presence, elevating guest experiences, driving operational excellence and nurturing a people-first culture that supports both business growth and employee development. He will report to Lokesh Sabharwal, Regional Vice President – Operations.

Debjeet has also played a key role in hosting prestigious international events such as the G20, B20 and Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2023, where he was involved in welcoming global leaders, heads of state and senior government officials.

He is a graduate of the International Institute of Hotel Management and holds a Diploma in Hotel Management, along with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Bengal. He has also completed professional certifications in Strategic Finance and Strategic Marketing for Hotels from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.
