Franck Muller has introduced the Vanguard “Ram Lalla” Limited Edition in partnership with Kapoor Watch Co.
Created for India and limited to 108 individually numbered pieces worldwide, the watch depicts Lord Ram in his childhood form, worshipped as the presiding deity of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
The watch was launched at the Franck Muller boutique in Delhi. Attendees included sitarist, composer, and music producer Rishab Rikhiram Sharma; Erol Baliyan, CEO of Franck Muller Middle East, Africa & India; and Raunaq Kapoor and Pratiek Kapoor, Directors of Kapoor Watch Co.
Case and Dial
The case is crafted from a solid block of 18-carat rose gold and measures 41 mm in width and 49.95 mm in length. It curves along both its length and width, with the curvature extending to the dial and appliqués. Two side inserts are colour-matched to the strap.
The dial features an appliqué depicting Lord Ram, with relief detailing produced using laser processing. According to the supplied release, each dial requires approximately 30 hours of laser processing. The numerals are individually hand-painted and hand-applied.
The production run of 108 pieces references the number’s spiritual significance in Hindu tradition. The watch is powered by a Swiss automatic mechanical movement.
Integrated Strap
The strap combines rubber with grape-based vegan leather. It is attached to the case using two concealed screws in place of traditional spring bars and follows the case’s curved profile.
