Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport has announced the appointment of Girish Divekar as Director of Sales & Marketing

Marking a significant homecoming, Girish returns to the hotel where he first joined as Associate Director of Sales in 2017 and later served as Director of Sales until 2022. Having built a strong understanding of the property, its market dynamics and commercial landscape during his earlier tenure, he now returns to lead the hotel’s sales and marketing strategy during an exciting phase of growth and evolution.
Bringing more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Girish has built a strong track record in sales, revenue generation, and business development. His experience spans key hospitality segments, including rooms, banqueting and catering, and food and beverage, equipping him with a holistic understanding of hotel operations and commercial strategy. In his new role, he will focus on driving revenue growth, enhancing market share, and strengthening the hotel’s positioning within the Mumbai market.
Reflecting on his journey, Girish Divekar shared, “My passion for hospitality began at a young age, inspired by the warmth, care, and sense of belonging that great hotels create for their guests. Before this appointment, Girish Divekar successfully led revenue growth and business development initiatives, delivering a 30% increase in revenue through strategic ADR and occupancy optimisation. He also played a key role in strengthening corporate business and enhancing the positioning of food and beverage offerings to drive new demand.
Returning to Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport, Girish shared, “The hospitality landscape is more dynamic and competitive than ever before. My focus will be on driving sustainable growth through strategic segmentation, strengthening key partnerships, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
