Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a Gateway resort in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The property is a brownfield project and will further strengthen IHCL’s presence in the state.

Located on the Jaipur–Agra highway, Gateway Bharatpur, Rajasthan, will feature 105 keys and is being developed as a leisure and events-led hospitality destination. The resort will offer an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant and a bar. Recreational facilities will include a swimming pool and fitness centre.

The property will also cater to weddings, corporate events and the MICE segment, with a banquet hall spanning over 4,000 square feet, supported by pre-function areas and meeting rooms.

Commenting on the signing, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “The growing preference for short vacations and weekend travel is reshaping demand across accessible leisure destinations. Bharatpur, given its strategic location and the renowned bird sanctuary, is well-positioned to benefit from the demand for experiential travel in addition to hosting destination weddings and catering to the MICE segment. We are delighted to partner with Yadur Kapur for this project.”

Yadur Kapur said, “We are delighted to partner with IHCL to bring the Gateway brand to Bharatpur. We are confident this collaboration will position the destination as a preferred short-haul leisure getaway.”

Bharatpur, located in eastern Rajasthan, is known for Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s important bird sanctuaries. Its location on the Jaipur–Agra route also adds to its appeal as an accessible short-haul leisure destination. With this signing, IHCL will have 67 hotels in Rajasthan, including 24 under development.
