Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a hotel in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

This greenfield project will be branded a Taj hotel marking the brand’s debut in the coastal city.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, stated, “Visakhapatnam is one of India’s fastest-growing coastal cities. Its rapid infrastructure development and vibrant mix of commerce, culture and industry make it an ideal location for luxury hospitality offerings. We will introduce the iconic Taj brand to Vizag, in line with our strategy to be present in key leisure and commercial markets. We are delighted to continue our partnership with Varun Hospitality Private Limited for this landmark project.”

Taj Varun Beach, Visakhapatnam, housed in the Varun Bay Sands complex, will feature 310 rooms and suites with panoramic views of the Bay of Bengal.
Varun Bay Sands, a multi-use development comprises of Varun Hub, commercial office space and Varun Nest, service apartments.
