IndiGo simplifies travel choices with UpFront, offering comfort-focused Economy experiences

IndiGo has announced a new choice in its Economy Class offering – ‘UpFront’, as part of its evolving, fit-to-purpose product portfolio. UpFront represents IndiGo’s first-in, first-out service experience, curated for travellers seeking superior convenience and added comfort with extra legroom. The product will be available for purchase starting 29 January 2026 on the IndiGo website and mobile app.
Customers choosing IndiGo UpFront will enjoy a bundled premium experience that includes front-row seating with extra legroom, complimentary snacks or meals, higher baggage allowance, and hassle-free change and cancellation benefits.
Designed for aspirational Indian travellers, IndiGo UpFront elevates the Economy Class experience while continuing to uphold IndiGo’s core promise of affordable and efficient air travel.
6E Ways to Fly
As the airline continues to evolve and create fit-to-purpose product choices for different segments of flyers in India and globally, IndiGo has reorganised its offerings into three travel ranges, two cabin categories, and five fare choices. This structure makes it easier for customers to personalise their travel experience based on individual needs and preferences.
The three travel ranges include domestic flights for connectivity within India, regional international flights catering to travel within the subcontinent, and long-haul international flights operating for more than seven hours.
IndiGo now offers two cabin categories. Economy Class continues to provide affordable and comfortable air travel, while IndiGoStretch is designed for customers seeking extra comfort and space while travelling.
Within these cabins, customers can choose from five fare options. In the Economy cabin, Saver offers best-value fares with classic comfort seats, with hot meals served on long-haul flights. Flexi provides the option to select seats, complimentary snacks, and hassle-free cancellation. UpFront offers front-row seating with extra legroom, complimentary snacks, and hassle-free cancellation.
In the IndiGoStretch cabin, Stretch offers more space and privacy, chef-packed meals, and end-to-end priority services. Stretch+ builds on these features with additional baggage allowance, hassle-free cancellation, and complimentary lounge access.
This comprehensive evolution brings greater customisation, empowering customers to select the combination that best suits their comfort and travel preferences.
Commenting on the launch, Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo, said, “As IndiGo completes nearly two decades of giving wings to the nation, our focus remains on offering reliable, affordable, and increasingly personalised travel experiences to our customers. India’s aviation landscape is evolving rapidly, and so are customer expectations. He added, “With IndiGoStretch, BluChip, our expanding long-haul operations and a product portfolio tailored to the requirements of customers on the respective routes, we reaffirm our commitment to customer-centric innovation, delivering seamless, comfortable, and flexible travel for millions of flyers across India and beyond.”
