Renaissance Goa Hotel has announced the appointment of Jyotirmoy Kalita as its new Director of Human Resources
With a strong background in human resources leadership within Marriott International, Jyotirmoy brings valuable experience in talent development, associate relations, and HR operations. His appointment comes at an important time as the hotel continues to strengthen its leadership team and build a dynamic workplace culture.
Jyotirmoy began his career with Marriott International in 2016 as a Voyager at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar. After completing the program, he joined the pre-opening team of Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel as Assistant Human Resources Manager, supporting HR operations for two hotels with a combined workforce of over 300 associates.
He later moved to Four Points by Sheraton Bengaluru Whitefield as Human Resources Manager, where he led the hotel’s HR function across manpower planning, talent acquisition, and associate relations, including supporting operations during the COVID-19 period. Most recently, he served at Aloft Bengaluru Outer Ring Road, where he was promoted to Assistant Director of Human Resources and led the HR function for the 191-room property, overseeing rewards and recognition programs, talent development initiatives, stakeholder management, and HR policy implementation.
Jyotirmoy holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Human Resources from Delhi School of Business.
Outside of work, he is an avid traveller, a sports enthusiast, and enjoys exploring food and culinary experiences.
