Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has announced the signing of Lemon Tree Hotel, Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu. The hotel will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.

With this signing, Lemon Tree Hotels strengthens its presence in Tamil Nadu and expands its footprint across key cultural, tourism and commercial destinations in South India. The addition takes the group’s portfolio in the state to eight hotels, comprising six operational and two upcoming properties, including the Kumbakonam hotel.

Kumbakonam is one of South India’s prominent heritage and spiritual destinations and attracts pilgrims, cultural travellers and business visitors. Growing transit movement and improving regional connectivity have further increased the demand for branded hospitality in the city.

The upcoming hotel will feature 66 rooms. Facilities will include a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet spaces, a business meeting room, swimming pool, spa and fitness centre.
